Filming:

When filming we had a few problems such as, we had to try and make the fall that the young girl has realistic, and so we had to take a large amount of shots until we could get a reasonable shot, which took up a lot of time just on that section of the opening. Also we werent too sure on the setting we had for our opening, we decided that it was too open and not very crowded and so it didnt show a lot of tension. Our new setting we agreed was more secluded and apropproirate for our storyline.

Due to the severe weather conditions, during the last few weeks it has come apparent that this could affect our filming and the background setting, and so we have tried to pick a good day for our filming so that there will be no disruptions with the camera if it were to rain.

Location Pictures

This is the location setting of our thriller opening:
We believe that this setting can bring tension to the opening, because it is quite a secluded area where anything can happen and no-one will even know about it. There are many bushes and trees covering the isolated road, where people or objects can hide in, which again can bring anxiety towards the characters and the audience. I also believe that when it is dark, it can bring double the tension into the scenes.

Homework- Based on the film 'The Boat That Rocked'.

Marketing- The ways in which the film was marketed, was there were trailers which were made to which can even be watched on many websites such as YouTube to promote the film. There were also posters on billboards which attracted the public into watching it.
Distribution- The companies that distributed this film were Universal Pictures and Focus features.
Exhibition- Although this is a British film, the box-office reception from the British audience was a financial failure so Focus Features decided to publish the film in North America.

Casting Issues

We have encountered a problem with the casting of the young girl called Pixie Mitchell who would of been played by Katerina Christodoulou, so now we are going to change the person because of personal issues. We have now changed the character of the role of Pixie Mitchell who will be played by myself, Anna-Luisa. Seeing as we would like the body type of the young girl to be petite we have agreed that I do meet this criteria.
